Welcome to the Website of the Consulate of the People's Republic of China in Laoag, the Philippines.
This Consulate was officially opened on 11th April 2007. It is the second consular post of China in the Philippines after the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Cebu was established. The consular district includes the Cordillera Administrative Region, Region 1 and Region 2, totaling 15 provinces which cover an area of nearly 60 thousand square km.
China and the Philippines are neighboring countries with a strip of water, enjoying a long history in terms of people-to-people's friendly exchanges. Especially in recent years, co-operations between the two countries in the fields of politics, economy, trade, culture and others have been continuously developed and deepened. People's exchanges are increasing either. This Consulate will positively develop friendly relations, promote their economic & trade exchanges, enhance mutual understanding and friendship among local areas or other relevant parties of China and its consular districts. The Consulate will meantime provide high-quality consular services to Chinese citizens who travel or reside in its consular districts.
