Wang Yi asked Prayuth to convey cordial greetings from President Xi Jinping to King Maha Vajiralongkorn, and extend Xi's best wishes to himself. Wang Yi said, he is the first foreign minister visiting Thailand after the COVID-19 outbreak, showing that China and Thailand are brothers, and demonstrating mutual confidence in winning the battle against the pandemic. In the joint fight against the virus, the two countries work together in time of difficulty, adding a new chapter to their friendship. Despite the pandemic, the two countries' mutually beneficial cooperation withstands tests and continues to expand, displaying great tenacity and huge potential of their partnership. China and Thailand have always provided mutual understanding and support. China firmly supports Thailand in taking a development path suited to its own national conditions, maintaining social stability, and promoting development and prosperity.

Wang Yi added that China-Thailand relations embrace a bright prospect. President Xi Jinping delivered an important speech at the grand gathering to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone (SEZ), declaring that China is going to comprehensively expand in-depth reform and expand openness, displaying China's determination and policy of sharing development opportunities with other countries. China welcomes that Thailand benefits from China's reform and opening up, and stands ready to strengthen strategic communication with Thailand to advance bilateral relations in the post-COVID-19 era. The two sides should implement joint prevention and control, and strengthen vaccine cooperation. Both sides should synergize the "Eastern Economic Corridor" with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, leverage respective strengths to create new highlights in jointly building the Belt and Road, and develop new connectivity platforms. China will encourage its enterprises to invest in Thailand, and expand cooperation in digital economy and other new forms of business. China is willing to share poverty alleviation experience with Thailand and promote relevant cooperation, and welcomes Thailand's active participation in the China International Import Expo (CIIE). The two sides will work together to uphold multilateralism, safeguard the basic norms of international relations, work for charting a post-2020 vision for APEC, and jointly build a community with a shared future in the Asia-Pacific region.

Prayuth thanked the cordial greetings from President Xi Jinping to King Maha Vajiralongkorn, and asked Wang Yi to extend his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to Xi. Prayuth said, China and Thailand have a long-standing friendship, and he is glad to see the Prime Minister of China is the first foreign minister visiting Thailand after the COVID-19 outbreak. Thailand appreciates China's support and assistance in its fight against the pandemic, speaks highly of President Xi's declaration that China will make any COVID-19 vaccine it develops a "global public good", and hopes to jointly develop vaccine and build the Silk Road of Health. Both sides should jointly chart the course for post-pandemic cooperation, and deepen the comprehensive strategic and cooperative partnership. Thailand is willing to further cooperate with China in trade and technological innovation, expects more investors from China, and provides an open, fair and transparent business environment. Thailand supports the greater synergies and faster connectivity between the "Eastern Economic Corridor" with the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Thailand will continue to firmly support the One-China principle, draw on China's experience in poverty alleviation, and actively participate in the CIIE. Thailand appreciates China's water resource cooperation with Mekong countries, and will work together with China to advance the healthy development of regional cooperation.

Both sides agree to build a "fast lane" and a "green lane" to facilitate the flow of people and goods.
