Wang Yi said, facing the turbulent and changing international situation, it is necessary for China and Turkey, as important emerging markets, to strengthen strategic dialogue and carry out strategic cooperation. China is ready to work with Turkey to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state during the recent phone conversation and push forward bilateral cooperative relations in all areas. In particular, the two countries should carefully maintain political mutual trust and keep political commitments. Mutually beneficial cooperation between China and Turkey has broad prospects and great potential. China supports Chinese enterprises in continuously advancing bilateral cooperation in accordance with market principles. China is also willing to strengthen coordination with Turkey on the current international and regional situation, promote the process of political settlement of the Afghan issue, and maintain the overall situation of regional peace and stability.
Cavusoglu said that Turkey attaches great importance to the relations with China and the recent phone conversation between the two heads of state is very important and successful. The Turkish side would like to establish more regular and closer contacts with China. He thanked the Chinese side for providing vaccines to Turkey and said that Turkey supports further deepening cooperation with Chinese enterprises on vaccines. Turkey firmly supports the one-China principle and China's efforts to safeguard its sovereignty. Turkey does not agree with or participate in any move by some forces to pressure China by using Xinjiang-related issues. Turkey is ready to strengthen communication and coordination with China on the Afghan issue to prevent the outbreak of a civil war in Afghanistan and promote peace and reconciliation among all parties in Afghanistan.
