  Message from Head of Post
Dear friends,

Welcome to the Website of the Consulate of the People's Republic of China in Laoag City, the Philippines.

This Consulate was officially opened in 2007. The consular district includes the Cordillera Administrative Region, Region 1 and Region 2, totaling 15 provinces with an area of nearly 60 thousand square km.

China and the Philippines are neighboring countries separated by a strip of water, enjoying a long history of people-to-people friendly exchanges. Since the opening of the Consulate in 2007, great progress has been made in the field of the friendly exchanges of visits and cooperation between the consular district and the local governments of China, and the legal rights and interests of Chinese citizens in the consular district have been properly protected.

I hope that this Website would continue to be the channel through which people in the consular district can know about the development of the friendly cooperation between China and the Philippines. I also hope this Website can be a window for you to know about China, and a bridge for the Chinese citizens including volunteers, as well as the Filipino Chinese in the consular district to contact your (or home) country.

I look forward to your frequent visit and your valuable opinions to this Website.

Consul and Head of Post Zhou Youbin
